Built-In Lenses

No Settings: Clears any current lens settings

Time Chart: One variable, two variable, or candlestick chart

Heat Map: Unmapped grid or vertical, horizontal, or circle heat map

Bar Chart: Square or circle bar chart

Shadow Chart: Unmapped circle chart, or circle or square shadow chart

Scatter Plot: 2- variable scatter plot, 3-variable corner, or 2 or 3-variable center chart

Network Graph: Wheel, 2D network, or 3D network chart

 

Export Lens

Once you’ve crafted a lens, you may want to export it to share with others. Quantum4D exports lens in .q4d format. Select lens and click “Export”. You will be prompted to choose a destination. Click ok. You can then import the lens into .q4d by way of Application>Import.

New Folder/Delete Item/Rename Item

Create new folders to organize and manage your lenses. Delete lenses as needed. Rename lenses and folders to help manage your lenses.

Properties

Click the “Properties” button to launch the Lens Properties panel. On the General tab, you can view and edit the short and long name, url and notes on a lens. On the Settings Tab, you can view the selected lens settings. Only the features that have been changed from defaults will be shown. Next to those features, you’ll see an “Edit” button. Click to launch a panel for each feature. You can change any of these details from this one properties panel. When you are finished editing or viewing the lens settings, click OK.

New Lens

To create a new lens, click on a repository or folder in a repository and click “New Lens”.

1. Choose the space or group with the lens settings you want to create a new lens from.

2. Name the new lens

3. Choose which settings to include

Apply

Select a lens and click the “Apply” button to apply the lens to your current space.
