Yes. There is no ‘pull' of data from your local database to the wikibase. Only the data and views you explicitly decide to share goes to the wikibase. You make this decision by dragging your data into a space that is in the wikibase. When data is from your local resource, the system will ask you if you wish to add this to the wikibase. If you click yes, you will then see a panel that allows you to control the viewing and editing rights. Viewing and editing rights can be given denied to all, given to specific members of the community that you list and or made open to anyone. The data you import remembers that you are the author and all rights and responsibilities are associated with you.
