Wheel Chart

This lens is a 2D chart that displays your model in a wheel to show the relationships or interactions between a single center point object and others.

 

Working with the “Industries by Commodities” space from the sample data we provided: 

  1. Click Wheel Chart to start configuring this Wheel Chart lens. 
  2. Choose “Wheel Chart”
  3. Choose the attribute for the radius (we chose “Industry-by-Commodity Total Requirements”)
  4. Click Map
  5. Choose a center object (we Chose “Manufacturing”)
  6. Click Map
  7. Choose the attribute for width (we chose “Industry-by-Commodity Total Requirements”)
  8. Click Map

Configure this lens manually:

  • In the “Lens Settings panel, double click “objects”
    • Select an attribute to map to radius.
    • Select an attribute to map to color.
      • Change Derivation to %Change
      • Set Period to 1 Month
      • Click “Self” under Normalization
  • In the “Lens Settings panel, double click “relations”
    • Select an attribute to map to width
    • Select an attribute to map to color
      • Change Derivation to %Change
      • Set Period to 1 Month
      • Click “Self” under Normalization
