Shape
![]()
Controls the 3D model used for an object. Shapes can be a good way to distinguish different lenses in the same view or for specific objects. You can create some fairly advanced views if this is used in conjunction with the manual position. Use “Clear settings…” to remove all local settings. Use Apply Defaults to apply default settings to entity if any exist.

Model: chooses shape by selecting name of 3D model
Apply: sets and saves the changes you have made
Normalize Geometry: if turned on, chosen model (shape) is resized to the size of the default cube model. This option works well for imported shapes that vary in size and location. By turning normalization on for these imported objects, they will be equally sized and centered in the workspace. Note that the default shapes listed in the model drop down are always their normalized geometry size (which means that if you use these shapes, they will be the same if Normalize Geometry is checked or not)
Radius Scale: scales size of object shapes
Y Offset: shifts object vertically
X Offset: shifts object along X axis
Z Offset: shifts object along Z axis
Y Plane: if turned on, shows grid plane on Y axis
X Plane and Z Plane: works same as Y plane, but objects move according to X and Z axes
