Importing Images and Models

Adding a new image or 3D model to Quantum4D is easy. There are two ways to import images and models:

1. From the Application main menu, select Import. The Import panel will appear. Select your picture and click Import it. The Choose Import Folder panel will pop up. Choose a repository for the imported image. Expand the tree to select a specific folder to place your image/model.

2. Go to Object>Manage Images or Object>Manage Models. Select a folder and click “Import”. Choose your file and click “Import”.

Exporting Images and Models

You can export images and models as .q4d files to share. Simply open the Manage Images or Manage Models panel by going to Object>Manage Image or Object>Manage Model. Select an image or model and click “Export”. Choose a location for your image/model and click “OK”. To re-import, simply import the .q4d file as you would an image or model.

Copying across repositories

A useful feature of the manage image and manage model panels is the ability to copy and paste across repositories. You can do this one of two ways:

1. Click and drag the image/model into the desired repository. You will see that the image/model remains in its original repository and copies itself to the new repository.

2. Right click the image/model and select “Copy”. Right click the desired destination and select “Paste”.
