Alert Watch

The Alert Watch feature will scan the entire Wikibase or other selected repository to find any flag Alerts. It checks to see if the conditions have been met within the designated time frame and returns the results to the user as a list of spaces.

Note – Alert Watch is intended to be a batch process run when new data is updated in a large volume of pre-configured (using lenses) alerts. As more alerts are added, the duration of the process will expand to be one that is best run overnight. As it is, without many alerts, we encourage you to experiment.

The goal of this phase is to expose the basic functionality and solicit feedback on which enhancements are most important next.

To access the Alert Watch controls go to Application>Alert Watch

Alert Watch

Then choose the domain of the search from the opened/listed data resources. Finally, choose the time range for which you wish to search for whether the conditions of the flags are met (default is one month from the current date) and click OK.

The result is a list of spaces on the left and the alerts within them on the right. You can enter any of these spaces by double-clicking them. If there is an alert URL listed, you can click on it to launch the news article in a browser window.
